Sunday

Well this is another Sunday which will prove to be very busy.
I messed around several times yesterday with this blog, trying to get it revamped, to no avail. Will try one more time, then I will have to be satisified with what every it is I come up with.
Have a great day and keep quilting.

Back to the basics

I have found that at times there are not enough hours in the day. Hence, no time to sew, or blog, but things are about to change....

New project in the making!

Well yesterday was a very long day. To church by 9:45, the preacher (my husband) kept us until 12:25. We got a call from a friend who invited us to Franklin, NE for lunch at the Black Powder Grill. It was a good lunch nothing to brag about, but sometimes you just don't order right. Then we went to the Senior Center for a Jam Fest of Senior Citizens. Funny part was we did not feel out of place with all the gray heads and near deads. So we listened to the music which was really nice, then off to the 5:00 showing of Julie/Julia. I loved the movie, as I love to cook and I vividly remember Julia Childs show on PBS. Will be looking for the book, as think it would be interesting and a good read.

Now for my quilting. I have started a new art quilt. this photo to the right is what I am doing. It is my nephew Max who lives in Houston, holding his son Harrison. I will take out the DSIL who is on the left, as want only the Banwell boys. This next photo is how I start an Art Quilt. So I will be posting the process as it goes along so everyone can see what goes into the making of an art quilt. It all starts by drawing the image onto muslin fabric. Hope to work to day on the project so will have more photos tonight.

ATC (Art Trading Card) Swap

These little gems measure 2 1/2X 3 1/2.

Well I received my ATC from our "Autumn" Theme Swap on Connecting Threads Site. The one I made for the swap is on the right, and it went to a Quilt artist in Las Vegas, Diana Bracy, you can see her work at http://bracys.wordpress.com/about-me and the one on the left is the one I received from Royce Vaughn, Nashville. All the ladies in our group are such talented artists that I feel a bit inferior, but I am getting there.

Lots of quilts

Worked today, best day I have put in for quite some time.

Finished two quilts, first one for Cami in CA. She has really done a nice job again on her piecing.

Makes my job so much easier. The second one is a baby quilt from a young mother who embroideried. She attempted to hand quilt, which is not an easy task. Must say she did a very nice job for a new sewer.

Haven't anything else to work on now, so will have to start making some things.

Happy quilting everyone.

Worked Loading Quilt for Cami

I loaded another quilt yesterday from my friend Cami. She had made this one for herself which is nice. It is a lovely quilt, but have no idea what to do, guess as normal I will just keep walking by it until the design comes to me.
NE won its game last evening!!! I may just have to get cable, as I am tired of listening to the radio so I know what is going on. Will check some options out next week.
Have an ATC Swap going, for the Halloween holiday. Look forward to this one, as we have more partakers which will be nice.

Seems like forever since I have written something on my blog. Seems that it has been busy here with end of the garden canning and work.

Have been notified that my customer Cami in CA received her quilt I finished for her DGD. It was done with gold metalic which worked very well with the Asian Prints.

Will be working on the remaining two I have to do, probably starting tomorrow. Still have plenty in the shop to take care of for now.

Hope everyone has a delightful day.
