Another Week-End Shot

Well the weekend is almost shot and I have not much to say for myself.
I tried to sew yesterday morning, but couldn't quite get things together.
Bud and I went out and cleaned the chicken pens, will do it one more time before we leave next weekend so they are nice for our care giver.
We will be at church this morning, then to lunch with friends, then off to an Emmaus Gathering this evening. Not too much time for anything else.

Need to get back to it....

Well I have really been busy quilting the last couple weeks. Seems it is either feast or fathom in this business. Well I am enjoying it as it comes and working hard knowing it won't last much longer.
Had the Luthern Pastor's daughter here yesterday. She had taken a quilting class, gotten the piecing done, then tried to quilt it on her home machine. After breaking a ladies walking foot, she decided to put the quilt up and not finish it, even though she had promised it to one of her sisters. I heard of her situation, so called and made arrangements to go down and get the girl with the quilt and bring her up here to finish it. As I have a long-arm that is what I do. I showed her what I would do with the quilt then helped her do it. I think she enjoyed doing it and I certainlty enjoyed watching her.

Where does the time go?

Another week shot in the butt, and what have I accomplished? Not very much, at least not as much as I should have. We leave for Colorado on Thursday, so need to get humping on the quilts. Have one on the frame now, will work on it tomorrow, then will be ready for a three day week. It has been quite a while since I have been
away from home, so will be nice to go, but as always even nicer to get home.
